Mid Career Seminar Program for Trainers
8 x Half Days
It’s easy to get in a rut in any job. As trainers, it sometimes hits us five to ten years into our career.
It’s at this point that we face many choices. Do a PhD, get a Masters or follow up some certification study.
However, the investment in time and energy required for further study doesn’t always line up with our personal situation. It’s not easy to do a PhD with a busy family, for example.
We’ve designed a mid-career program for trainers who want to take stock of what they’ve learned and refresh their work. It’s based on a successful series of programs Jonathan Halls ran at the BBC when he was in London.
You’ll meet for eight half-day meetings and review both classic and contemporary thinking on learning.
You’ll examine what leading thinkers say about learning in the corporate sphere by comparing their theories to your own experiences – both your successes and failures.
You’ll delve beneath today’s fads and buzzwords to explore you own values as a trainer and align them more effectively to your practice as a seasoned trainer.
This course can be done as a one-week course or over a period of weeks with follow-up. It can also be delivered online or by webinar.
This course is not a certificate course or corporate learning class with a list of learning objectives to systematically tick off.
It’s an in-depth, professionally facilitated course of learning, discussion and critical reflection that will be highly personal to you and your career.
This learning program is pitched at an MBA level and will require pre-reading.
