Designing Outstanding Learning

Well designed learning delivers results2 Days

Learn how to design learning that imparts knowledge and equips participants with skills to do their work.

Drawing on the ADDIE model and Training Cycle, this course looks at the latest cognitive research on how adults learn and shows you techniques to incorporate into learning that will reinforce learning and ensure retention.

The course also covers the basics of adult learning theory and the latest learning methods such as e-learning.

Delivering Outstanding Learning

2 Days

More than a Train the Trainer, this course will give a philosophical foundation for being a phenomenal communicator.

And it will give you the practical skills to communicate with energy and facilitate learning in a sensitive way.

Drawing on the world of media for communication techniques, you’ll learn how to lose the nerves and let your trainees succeed on your course.

Trainer’s Mid-Career Program

8 x Half Days

It’s easy to get in a rut in any job.  As trainers, it sometimes hits us five to ten years in.  We face many choices.

Do a PhD or get a Masters.  Nah, that’s too much hard work.

Perhaps we go for another certification.  But then certification can sometimes be pretty basic, especially when we’ve done it all before.

We’ve designed a mid-career program for trainers who want to take stock of what they’ve learned and refresh their work.

It’s based on a successful series of programs Jonathan Halls ran at the BBC when he was in London.  You’ll meet for eight half-day meetings.

The course is pitched at an MBA level and looks at re-discovering your values as a trainer and re-aligning them to practice.
