Vocal Presence Scorecard
Your vocal quality is important. It’s the first thing people hear.
Believe it or not, your voice can give away your emotions such as stress, lack of confidence and excitement.
The more control you have over it, the more you can influence the result of your podcast.
Here are a few things to look at.

- Easy to Understand?
- Diction = 5
- Pronunciation = 5
- Speed of delivery = 5
- Warm and authoritative?
- Breathing from diaphragm? = 5
- Does the presenter sound confident? = 5
- Is the presenter a good distance from the microphone? = 5
- Energy & Expression?
- Pace = 5
- Pauses = 5
- Volume = 5
- Overall
- How would you rate the general feel of your presenter? = 5
Score your presenter for each of these aspects of his/her delivery. If they are average, give them 3. If they’re poor, give them 1. If they’re excellent, give them 5. Add them up and give your presenter a total score out of 50.
If you give your presenter a score below 3, explain why and what you think s/he needs to do to improve.
