GW Media Labs

Podcasting Lab

This page provides resources for the audio lab for Jonathan Halls’ Masters students at George Washington University.

The exercises are designed to introduce you to key skills you need to make great audio.  They will give you a foundation to practice your skills for the assessment.

Below are some links you will need today and for completing your assessment.

At the end of each exercise I will ask you to listen to what one of your peers has produced and then score them.

Your peer will also score you.  You will need to score your peer following the criteria I have outlined at the pages linked to below.  You’ll also need to give them feedback based on how you scored them.

This process of review will help identify areas you can work on to improve your podcasting and get higher marks in the assessment.

The criteria that’s outlined on each of these pages is the criteria by which I’ll assess your work.
