Jonathan is Founder and Principal of Jonathan Halls & Associates which is based in Alexandria, Virginia. His firm trains people in leadership and media. He was Managing Director of Talkshow Communication Ltd in London and formerly held a senior role at the BBC.
Jonathan is an Adjunct Professor at the Graduate School of Political Management, at George Washington University, in Washington DC.
Jonathan has taught media, communication and leadership for two decades. He spends much time focusing on communication, change and unleashing the potential of staff within the context of leadership.
He has developed a number of highly focused, intensive development programs on leadership, communication, innovation and learning.
Each program is based on the latest research and has been structured to empower people in organizations who want to perform well, to do better.

Jonathan formerly headed up the BBC’s prestigious television, radio and new media operation in London. Many consider it to deliver the best broadcast training in the world.
Responsible for a multimillion dollar operation, 40 staff and 200 contractors, Jonathan charted his teams through difficult processes of change, leading organizational change.
He restructured his teams so they were better equipped to deliver the latest and best of class training in the fast evolving world of television production. Prior to running Production Training, he managed skills training in the BBC’s New Media Training Unit.
When Jonathan runs leadership, change and communication programs, he doesn’t talk from a textbook or relive other people’s anecdotes.
He talks from real experience. And working closely with his clients, he applies the latest theories through that experience to make the takeaways relevant to his audiences.

Jonathan has worked in various roles around the world. He’s been a talk show host, journalist, communications manager and media executive.
He has spoken at many exciting places including the Institute of Finance in Moscow (Russia), Nottingham University (UK), University of New South Wales (Australia) and Georgetown University (US).
