New US Office

International trainer and specialist, Jonathan Halls, has opened an office in Alexandria, Virginia.  He and his American wife have made the transition across the Atlantic to set up base in Northern Virginia.

Halls plans to spend more time working in North America.  “I’ll continue to work with clients and friends around the world, however it makes sense for us to operate our business here in the US,” he said this week.

“The US has a great business culture and people are great to work with.  There’s also a real openness to grow and learn as the world changes.”

International training specialist

Jonathan was managing director of Talkshow Communication Ltd, based in London.  The media and leadership training company delivered training throughout the world.   Talkshow’s team trained professionals from the BBC, Reuters, Financial times, Channel Four, Disney, Daily Telegraph and more.

Prior to running Talkshow Communication Ltd in London, Jonathan ran the BBC's prestigious Production Training department.  The multimillion dollar operation trained thousands of people every year in television, radio and new media production.

Jonathan has worked as a journalist, talk show host as well as media and learning executive.  He has a Masters and Bachelors in Adult Education. 

New company: Talkshow Media

Jonathan has opened Talkshow Media LLC in the Virginia.  The company has two operations. 

The company name Talkshow Media LLC refers to the company's multimedia training operation.  It delivers multimedia training for media, communication and learning professionals who want to use Web video, text and audio.  The company builds on Jonathan’s two decades of experience as a media trainer in Australia, Europe and North America.

Jonathan also runs the practice, Jonathan Halls & Associates, which delivers communication and innovation solutions for business and government.   Solutions include training, consulting, coaching and webinars.

New mindset

Halls firmly believes that the world has changed so much that we need to understand communication differently and build methods and strategies that are not stuck in the past.   What worked in the 90s certainly doesn’t have the same power today.

He also believes that we need to develop creative and innovative mindsets to be successful.  The key to the future is constant organizational innovation and a creative mindset.

Jonathan is a dynamic trainer and speaker who brings a deeper international perspective to his work.  He is both engaging as a presenter and grounded with the content he presents.

North American experience

Jonathan has already clocked up considerable experience working in the US.  He has spoken at numerous conferences and run seminars.  Jonathan is an active member of the American Society for Training & Development.  He has sat on several national committees for ASTD and was the founding president of ASTD's Global Network in the UK.
