Halls
joins national committee
Jonathan Halls has been invited onto the national
education committee that plans the ASTD
TechKnowledge conference.
ASTD
is the American Society for Training and
Development. TechKnowledge is the society’s annual
conference that showcases the latest developments in
e-learning.
ASTD
is the largest association of workplace learning
professionals in the world. Their conferences
attract thousands of attendees from around the
globe. Each conference has a an educational
committee that provides input and professional
advice to help the organizers plan the educational
sessions.
Jonathan will bring his expertise in adult learning
and communication to the group. As a media
specialist who has worked at the cutting edge of
some of the latest developments, he will review the
track on emerging technologies and support the
committee’s goal of keeping the conference at the
leading edge of the learning profession.
The
committee is chaired by Jim Javenkovski PhD, from
Chicago, who has long been an evangelist for using
technology to create quality learning experiences
that lead to improvements in performance.
Jonathan Halls was a speaker at the last two
TechKnowledge conferences. He received knockout
reviews from attendees who rated him highly as an
“excellent speaker”.
Audiences responded to his ability to make complex
topics easy to understand while motivating the
audience to build new skills.
Jonathan has also served on ASTD's planning
committee for the International Conference and Expo.
He reviewed the leadership tracks for the conference
in 2006 and 2007. Jonathan is actively engaged
in the ASTD. He was founding president of
ASTD's Global Network in the UK.
